Presenting webinars from a quiet space is a different experience from presenting in front of a live audience.
Top Tips:
-
Practice with your colleagues before you present a live webinar. Make sure you're comfortable with the technology and can anticipate the types of problems you or your participants may encounter.
-
Be prepared to take the attendance by including the CEU Events' attendance slide at the end of your presentation and have the unique Event Code ready.
- When creating a webinar event, make sure to add ''Please enter your full name when joining the webinar for attendance purposes. Thank you!' under the 'notes' field.
- Create a webinar/meeting link using your preferred application that you will be using to deliver the presentation.
- Copy and paste the webinar invitation link you created in the previous step under Webinar Link field.
*If you require access code/password or numbers to dial-in enter this information under 'notes' field. -
Find a quiet room to present your webinar.
-
If you like to move around the room while presenting, make sure you have the space to do that.
-
A webcam isn't required, but recommended since it makes a difference with engagement. For large meetings only use webcam if your bandwidth is strong and stable otherwise skip the webcam.
-
Log in to your webinar application at least 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time to ensure everything is working correctly, such as the mic, internet connection and webcam.
-
Use a headset and/or dial-in by phone for the best audio quality. Don't depend on your computer's mic.
-
Make sure you have a good internet connection.
- Send out 30-minute email reminder (this works really well since most ignore reminders)
-
Mute all participants during your presentation to minimize the background noise and distraction. Encourage your participants to use your webinar application's chat feature to ask questions during your webinar. Check the chat section for questions from time to time. You can also unmute everyone during your Q and As.
-
Keep the energy up, be passionate and energetic during the webinar. Your energy, passion and tone comes through in your presentation.
-
At the end of your presentation, provide attendees with the unique Event Code for them to confirm their attendance or register for your event at www.ceuevents.com/attendance.
- Go through the participant list and mark the participants present via CEU Events Mobile App and issue their Certificates of Completion.
